For new and old DJs, djay is a feature-packed application that’ll keep the party bumping—all for a fraction of the price of less-capable DJ packages.

It’s the DJ app missing from iLife, but also a tool many serious musicians and DJs might add to their Mac for situations that call for features like quick, automatic mixes or network streaming. […]
Just be forewarned: even if you’ve never DJed before, you might get addicted.
Peter Kirn — composer/musician, media artist, and technology writer — wrote an excellent review of djay in Macworld, which contains lots of details including most of djay’s more advanced features.
algoriddim have embraced the richness the OS X system to offer the DJ a whole new experience in DJ software. There are no compromises for cross-platform compatibility here — djay even looks like a Mac program. What really excites me is that algoriddim has embraced the more advanced audio processing capabilities that OS X has to offer. […]
For the money you won’t find better mixing software for the Mac.

Embracing the graphical power and multi-touch goodness of the OS X platform, [algoriddim] have created djay – software that not only looks like regular djing, but also feels like it too.
djay has now matured into v3, going beyond its basic but ultra Mac friendly roots into a fully fledged DJ application – but its still standing out from the crowded market with because of the unique approach it takes.

djay lets users beatmatch music, organize playlists, use transition effects, and organize party tunes in a simple Mac OS X interface. Features like BPM syncing, AutoDJ, iTunes Playlist connection and digital platters make for a great experience. Seamless iTunes Integration, AutoDJ based on a playlist, and transition buttons turned out to be features I couldn’t live without.
With a very simple learning curve, a party can be programmed in a matter of minutes allowing for a great dancefloor.

It’s an excellent DJ app, and one of the best you will find on the Mac. It won’t turn you into an amazing DJ right away, but if you’re an experienced DJ looking for a way to mix music straight from your Mac, it’s a great solution. And even if you’re a music fan who wants to experience music in a different way, it’s more than worth a look.

Superb, user-friendly Djing turntables for Mac.
[…] whereas some applications make Djing a mystery and confuse you with too many knobs and meter readings, djing couldn’t be easier. In fact, I’d go as far as to say djay is the most user friendly Djing application I’ve tried on either Mac or PC. It’s just so easy to get going, looks great and is a heck of a lot of fun.
